Hometown Holiday – Jingle All the Way Christmas Decorating Contest
Get ready to spread holiday cheer and help transform Thomson and McDuffie County into our very own twinkling Hallmark movie scene!
We’re inviting all local businesses to deck their halls (and windows!) and join in our Annual Christmas Decorating Contest.
This Year’s Theme:
Hometown Holiday – Jingle All the Way!
Each design must include jingle bells somewhere in your festive display — let’s see your creativity shine!
Contest Categories
- People’s Choice – Chosen by community votes
- Best Windows – A showcase of stunning storefront creativity
- Best Overall – The ultimate holiday masterpiece
How to Participate
1. Decorate Your Business:
Complete your holiday display by Monday, December 1st at Noon.
Be sure to include jingle bells in your design!
2. Submit Your Entry:
Complete the online entry form below. Note: Your best photo must be uploaded one photo of your decorated storefront by Noon on December 1st. Click Here for the Entry Form.
3. Community Voting – People’s Choice:
Voting opens Tuesday, December 2nd at Noon and closes at Wednesday, December 4th at Noon. Encourage your customers and friends to vote for your business! Note: Only 1 vote per person.
Winners Announcement
Join us at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, December 4th at 6:00 PM at The Depot located at 11 Railroad Street in Downtown Thomson.
Winners will be revealed live, and the coveted Golden Nutcracker Trophy will be awarded to the top display — to proudly showcase at your business all season long!
Entry Fee
- Chamber Members: FREE
- Non-Chamber Members: $25.00 (non-refundable & non-transferable)

December 4th at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony outside the Depot located at 111 Railroad Street. The event starts at 6pm.
